Two more members of Purdue's 2025-26 team have decided to enter the transfer portal, bringing the total to six. On Wednesday, starting guard Tara Daye and injured guard Taylor Feldman both announced their plans to enter the portal via social media.

Daye was Purdue's leading scorer and rebounder in her lone season with the Boilermakers. She averaged 12.4 points and 6.5 rebounds per contest. She was a catalyst for the team's success on both ends of the floor.

"Going into my final season, I have decided to pursue my aspirations and enter the transfer portal for the last time," Daye wrote on Instagram. "I would like to emphasize that every player's journey is different, and while mine is very unique and unordinary, staying true to the game and staying true to myself is the foundation of my career, and doing so has brought me to saying another tough goodbye."

Feldman also spent just one season at Purdue, transferring in from Northern Arizona. A back injury sidelined the guard for most of the 2025-26 campaign. She appeared in just seven games, averaging 6.3 points, 2.4 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game.

The potential fifth-year player will need to seek a medical redshirt waiver from the NCAA for eligibility for the 2026-27 campaign.

"I am incredibly grateful for the relationships I've built and the experiences I've gained during my time at Purdue," Feldman wrote. "The opportunity to grow both on and off the court has meant a great deal to me. After thoughtful consideration, I have decided to enter the transfer portal."

Both Daye and Feldman are big losses for the program, as both could've been starters for the Boilers next season.

There are now six players from Purdue's 2025-26 squad who have announced their intent to enter the transfer portal. They have not officially entered, as the date is set for April 6 for student-athletes to enter their name into the database. However, all six have expressed interest in exploring their options.

Forwards Lana McCarthy and Kendall Puryear were the first two to announce their plans to hit the transfer portal. Then, guards Nya Smith and Kiki Smith both revealed that they plan to enter the portal when it opens, as well.

As of right now, that means Purdue will need to replace at least seven players, losing Madison Layden-Zay to graduation following the 2025-26 campaign.

Purdue concluded last season with a 13-17 record, earning the No. 14 seed in the Big Ten Tournament.
