South Carolina is coming off another run-rule victory against Winthrop from Tuesday night, their second in just four games; they will now welcome Queens, who has a very fresh roster. Per GamecocksOnline, they'll bring 17 players to Columbia who have transferred into the program for Head Coach Jake Hendricks's first season.

Carolina is coming into this game looking for the pitching staff, who hasn't been bad early on in the season but has struggled with their command to an extent, to get off to a better start and limit free passes. Through four games this season, they have walked 17 batters and hit a couple of batters. While these mistakes have yet to hurt the Gamecocks in terms of runs allowed, it will need to be limited to a better degree moving forward.

As for the bats, Talmadge LeCroy, who currently leads the team in batting average (.615), Tyler Causey, Blake Jackson, and Dylan Brewer have led the charge early on and have been the most consistent thus far. Others have contributed as well, but Mark Kingston and his staff are still looking for their playmaker, Ethan Petry, to get going.

Probable Pitching Matchup (Per GamecocksOnline)

South Carolina: Matthew Becker (Jr. LFP) 0-0, 0.00 ERA, 0.0 IP, 0 BB, 0 K

Queens: TBA
