Aliyah Boston, Raven Johnson Earn SEC Honors

Dawn Staley South Carolina's women's basketball team continued their dominance this past week in conference play by sweeping the season home-and-home with Kentucky and on the national stage by defeating the UConn Huskies this past Sunday. While the Gamecocks tout one of the deepest rosters in the entire sport, there were two specific players whose play stood out this past week Gamecock point guard Raven Johnson and South Carolina's superstar forward Aliyah Boston.
Boston recorded a double-double against both Kentucky and UConn while shooting 51.8% from the field between both contests. Her performance against UConn, in particular, played a vital role in the Gamecocks holding on to win, leading to her being named the SEC's Player of the Week.
