On Friday afternoon, Dawn Staley and the South Carolina Gamecocks will look to give themselves more reasons to celebrate on this Thanksgiving week, as they take on the Mississippi Valley State Devils. Staley's squad will also look to put together a much more efficient outing than what they displayed against the South Dakota State Jackrabbits on Monday night, in a game that saw Carolina only up by 12 at halftime due to the team shooting 33.3 percent from the floor in the first half and having no outside shooting presence.

The Devils have lost four of their first five regular season games, defeating McNeese State by two points just eight days ago. The top two players to watch for Valley State are Sh'Diamond McKnight and Jaylia Reed, who are averaging a combined 27.4 points and 4.2 steals per game this Fall.
