How To Watch: No. 20 South Carolina At Ole Miss

South Carolina men's basketball team travels to Mississippi to face off against the Rebels after a much-needed bye week.

Lamont Paris and the South Carolina Gamecocks are set to travel to Oxford, Mississippi, where they will face the Ole Miss Rebels in a rather important game. After the Gamecocks suffered tough back-to-back losses for the first time all season, they got much-needed rest to prepare for their final stretch of the regular season. All their remaining games, as of now, are considered Quad 1 games, and to continue to be a "lock," as labeled by some for the NCAA tournament, they will need to get a couple more wins.

The last time these two teams were matched up against one another, the game ended in a three-point win for Carolina. Ole Miss guard Allen Flanigan had a near-perfect night, making several highly contested mid-range shots, shooting 11/15, and finishing with 26 points. It was another instance where the Gamecocks were up double-digits, 16 with roughly 18 minutes left in the game in this case, and their opponent chipped away at the lead to make the game too close for comfort in the final minutes.

South Carolina knows who they are: a team prides itself on its defense and ability to knock down their perimeter shots. As coach Paris would say, the past two games have been very uncharacteristic on the defensive end, and with this being their second meeting of the season, the Gamecocks will have a better idea of how this Rebel team will want to attack them. More importantly, South Carolina will be looking to leave Oxford with a win and finish better as a team, an aspect they've struggled with in recent outings.
