Head coach Dawn Staley and the South Carolina Gamecocks have gone the entire regular season without a loss for the second consecutive year, securing that achievement by defeating the Tennessee Lady Volunteers on Sunday afternoon. Going undefeated in the regular season is almost unheard of in present-day women's college hoops; doing so in back-to-back seasons shows the new heights the Gamecocks have reached under Staley. The only thing left before we can look at the entire body of work for these two legendary squads is the postseason, where the 2022-23 team fell just two wins shy of claiming the program's third national championship last Spring.
