New Numbers For Incoming Gamecock Freshmen

South Carolina's Football program has handed out jersey numbers to several early enrollees.

It's always exciting to see which numbers the incoming freshmen will choose, making the fact that they're a part of the football team feel real. You wait a long time for these guys to arrive on campus, so seeing the numbers they pick makes fans anticipate the moment these future stars hit the field for the South Carolina Gamecocks on Saturdays at Williams Brice.

Here's the current list of numbers from the early enrollees:

Freshmen Numbers

EDGE/OLB Dylan Stewart - No. 6

WR Mazeo Bennett - No. 3

QB Dante Reno - No. 10

EDGE/OLB Wendell Gregory - No. 10

S David Bucey - No. 13

LB Fred Johnson - No. 15

WR Debron Gatling - No. 17

S Kelvin Hunter - No. 21

PK Mason Love - No. 24

DB Isaiah McClary - No. 26

As additional information becomes available, we will promptly update the article. One thing of note is the inclusion of Kelvin Hunter's number, which indicates that Gamecock star DB Nick Emmanwori might be wearing a new number for the 2024 season, potentially his high school jersey number, 7.
