Where Will Ryan Montgomery Commit?
South Carolina's men's basketball program got some fantastic news this morning when their biggest target of the 2024 recruiting cycle, four-star guard Cam Scott, committed to the Gamecocks. Shane Beamer and South Carolina's football program are now looking to follow suit and continue to build the momentum they created last week as their top quarterback target, Ryan Montgomery, announces his commitment later today at 3 PM EDT.
The Findlay, OH product is rated the 14th-best quarterback and 186th-best overall prospect in the country for the 2025 class. The decision is expected to come down to Carolina, Florida, and Georgia. Although South Carolina has hosted Ryan four times throughout the recruiting process, the feelings coming into today aren't what they once used to be. With his last visit being to Florida, and his visit to the Gamecocks' Spring game this coming Saturday night being canceled, it appears as if Montgomery will be landing elsewhere this afternoon. We think the Bulldogs will be walking away from this one happy.
