Pac-12 commissioner George Kliavkoff makes bizarre championship comments at CFP meeting

In this story:
With college football a couple days away from starting, there was a meeting held in Dallas, Texas amongst conference commissioners and other higher ups in regards to the College Football Playoff and its expansion.
Among those awkwardly in attendance was Pac-12 commissioner George Kliavkoff, who by this time of next year will likely not have a conference to commission. The reason for this of course being the fact that within the last year, the Pac-12 has lost eight members to other conferences and two of the four remaining members in Stanford and Cal hoping to land in the ACC this week.
We haven't heard much from Kliavkoff since the mass exodus and what was likely the collapse of the conference, but he did tell reporters on his way out that he was focused on the Pac-12 winning a title.
Pac-12 commissioner George Kliavkoff says he’s focused on his league “winning a national championship,” as he rushed by reporters to catch a flight.

If the Pac-12 does have a team win a title, which they do have five teams that can legitimately contend, it'd be the conference's first since future Big Ten member USC won in 2004.
If the Pac-12 has any chance at survival, it needs Stanford and Cal to not be accepted into the ACC. That would allow for the conference to rebuild, and expand. I broke down the top expansion candidates for the Pac-12 if it were to happen, which you can check out here (MWC/AAC). If this does somehow happen, it is also unlikely that Kliavkoff is involved, as one would have to imagine the remaining programs are too pleased with his mishandling of the conference this past year.
Until we find out what happens with Stanford and Cal, it is safe to assume this is the last year of the Pac-12's existence.
