Spring football is finally upon us, and Stanford is one of the many teams across the country that finally began their spring session of practices.

The Cardinal will look extremely different this spring, as not only did the roster lose a handful of players to the transfer portal but there is also a new sheriff in town. Following David Shaw's decision to step down as head coach on the tail end of what was another sub .500 season, the Cardinal turned to offensive guru Troy Taylor from Sacramento State to be the head coach.

Taylor and his staff were late to the game in terms of when they all finally made it to campus as Taylor was in the midst of a deep playoff run with the Hornets, and was hired just days before the early signing day. The immediacy of his hire and signing day didn't allow him to assemble a staff right away, but now his staff is all on campus and very enticing to say the least, especially after a departure and new addition.

Taylor met with us at All Cardinal recently to discuss how the program will be different, and he certainly has a new energy that fans will love. Taylor and the Cardinal opened up spring camp on Saturday in what will signify the start of the new era, and of course position battles galore.

The social media team uploaded a great first day video that should have fans pumped for what's to come.
