No movement.

In the latest rankings released by ESPN.com/USASoftball, the Texas A&M softball program remained at No. 15 in the latest rankings that were released on March 31.

After the weekend series with Texas, who were the No. 1 team in the nation, where A&M took one of three, the next opponent is No. 11 Georgia at Davis Diamond, in another opportunity to boost the resume.

The Aggies have jumped off to a 24-11 start overall, with a 14-2 home record and a 6-3 conference record, along with a 3-4 away record. At a neutral site, they are also 7-5 at a neutral site.

The Maroon and White are coached by head coach Trisha Ford, with assistance from assistant head coach Jeff Harger and assistant coaches Russ Heffley and Eric Leyba.

A&M’s Softball Season

Through the Aggies' 26 non-conference games, they are 17-9, with appearances against several programs bound for the NCAA Regionals down the line. The year started off with Opening Day falling against ACU before a two-game stretch with Utah State and Providence to jump off to a  3-0 start.

After the three-game winning streak, A&M ran into Texas Tech and the ‘Million Dollar Arm’, who gave Ford and Co. a tough fight, handing the first loss of the season 3-2 at home. A&M bounced back against Providence before participating in the Shriners’ Children’s Clearwater Invitational.

During that tournament, the Fightin’ Farmers went 3-2, with wins over NC State, James Madison, and Northwestern, and losses to No. 19 Duke and No. 23 Oklahoma State.

Following that tournament, the Aggies competed in the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic, where they went 3-3, with wins over Duke, UC San Diego, and LMU and losses to No. 6 Nebraska, No. 11 UCLA, and No. 14 Oregon.

A&M registered a win against Houston and then hosted the Texas A&M Invitation at Davis Diamond with two wins over Kennesaw State and wins over Saint Mary’s, Louisiana, and Louisiana Tech. One game was dropped to Louisiana early on.

A short series in the San Marcos Showdown featured A&M playing Tarleton State and Texas State, with the loss coming against Texas State.

The SEC schedule started shortly after, with 2 of 3 games belonging to A&M in Baton Rouge. Kentucky visited Aggieland the next week with a clean sweep in all three contests for A&M.

Sam Houston was the latest non-conference matchup for A&M, which ended in an 18-3 win for Ford and Co. This past weekend, Texas took 2-of-3 in Austin, setting up a great series coming up.

Two ranked teams at Davis Diamond.

Game 1 takes place on Thursday, April 2, at 6 p.m., with Game 2 on Friday, April 3, at the same time as the series finale on Saturday, April 4, beginning at 12:30 p.m.
