Houston, Texas native Peyton Chatagnier is set to return to his home state and play his final year of college baseball for the Horned Frogs. Chatagnier joins Ben Hampton, Payton Tolle, and Jack Basseer in an impressive transfer class for Kirk Saarloos

Last season, Chatagnier played in 51 games and saw 201 plate appearances, the second most in his career (in 2022, he had 263 plate appearances). The right-hander finished the season with a .261 batting average and a .343 OBP. He also hit 10 home runs and batted in 26 RBIs. 

In 2022, Ole Miss won the national championship, and Chatagnier played a pivotal role in the team's success. He played in 62 games and finished the year with a .248 batting average. He recorded career highs in both home runs (11) and RBIs (45). In the first game of the national championship series against Oklahoma in 2022, Chatagnier went 3-5 with an RBI. The Rebels won that game 10-3. 

Chatagnier is a player with a championship pedigree and he is joining a roster that has championship aspirations. He is an experienced player who has more than 800 plate appearances in his collegiate career and will provide veteran leadership to a TCU team looking to build on its final-four run .
