No. 14 Iowa State secured a dominant 71-59 victory over the unranked TCU Horned Frogs Saturday.

It marks the Cyclones' 14th victory at Hilton Coliseum this season as they remain undefeated at home. With a win over the Frogs, Iowa State has now won five of their last six games, including victories over Kansas State, No. 4 Kansas, Texas, and two against TCU.

Tre King led the scoring for the Cyclones with 15, as Keshon Gilbert and Curtis Jones posted 13 points each.

While the Frogs jumped out to an early 6-4 lead courtesy of back-to-back three pointers from Emanuel Miller and Trevian Tennyson, the Cyclones roared back with a dominant 13-0 run. Consecutive threes from King and Jackson Paveletzke kickstarted the run.

During their run, the Cyclones held the Frogs without a field goal for 8 minutes and 47 seconds until JaKobe Coles nailed a three pointer. Just as the Frogs cut into the deficit, a fast break was quickly stifled when King blocked a layup by Micah Peavy.

The Frogs slowly lessened the deficit–jumpers from Chuck O'Bannon, Avery Anderson III and a layup from Miller cut the Cyclones' lead to 22-18. Once again, just as TCU found an avenue back into the game, Iowa State found its answer.

Leading 24-20, Rob Jones picked out a wide open Curtis Jones for a three. On the ensuing drive, the Iowa State forward dished it out to Tamin Lipsey for a three-pointer.

The Cyclones took a 30-22 lead into the half and held the Frogs to 0 fast-break points.

Iowa State led by as many as 17 points in the 2nd half, and despite TCU answering back with a 10-0 run of its own, the Cyclones saw out what was a dominant day in Ames.

Now 7-3 in the Big 12, the Cyclones held the Frogs to a season-low 59 points. The Frogs' previous low of 65 was achieved in victory over Hawai'i on Dec. 24.

The Frogs have now lost back-to-back conference games and sit at 5-5 in the Big 12. A quick turnaround will see the Frogs back at the Schollmaier on Monday, Feb. 12 against the West Virginia Mountaineers (8-15, 3-7 Big 12).

Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. and available for streaming on Big 12 Now on ESPN+.
