Offense was hard to come by in TCU's final game of the 2023-24 season. TCU had a shaky start to the game as No. 25 West Virginia outscored the Frogs 21-7 in the 1st quarter. While TCU slowly crept back into the game, the 19-point 4th quarter wouldn't be enough to knock off the Mountaineers.

Sedona Prince and Madison Conner both had 15+ points in the loss, as Conner couldn't find a rhythm from the 3-point line. The junior shot 2/7 on 3-pointers but managed to rack up 12 additional points inside the arc. Prince tallied another double-double in the Big 12 matchup, her 12th of the season, with 15 points and 12 rebounds.

Conner also broke the TCU single-season 3-pointer record with her 88th 3-pointer of the season, surpassing Zahna Medley, who played for TCU from 2015-2016.

The scoring for West Virginia was relatively similar to TCU's. Jordan Harrison and JJ Quinerly scored 14 points each, while the other starters had small roles throughout the game. Kyah Watson had 8 points in 34 minutes, and Lauren Fields had 6 points, all of which were from the 3-point line.

The benches for TCU and West Virginia were one of the major differences in this one. TCU's bench, normally a large part of their scoring, was silent today. West Virginia's bench, on the other hand scored 12 points, with the leading bench scorer being Jayla Hemingway with 8.

One stretch in particular in the 1st half resulted in the 20-point difference at halftime, where West Virginia went on a 20-0 run to take a commanding lead. With 15 TCU giveaways, it's expected that TCU would struggle to put anything together on the offensive side of the ball.

The Big 12 Tournament is next up for the Frogs as they earned a first-round bye in the tournament due to its 4-game win streak late in the season.
