As the 2023-24 men’s basketball schedule starts to come to fruition, Jamie Dixon’s squad knows they will spend part of the holidays in Hawaii. TCU is slated to play in the Hawaiian Airlines Diamond Head Classic December 21-24, 2023.

The tournament will begin on December 21. Games will be played at the SimpliFi Arena at Stan Sheriff Center in Honolulu. In addition to TCU, features Georgia Tech, Hawai'i, Nevada, Old Dominion, Saint Mary's, Temple, and UMass. This will be the 14th year for the Diamond Head Classic.

TCU won the Diamond Head Classic in 2018. Coach Dixon, who is entering his eighth season as TCU's head coach, has a long history with Hawaii. Dixon served as an assistant coach for the University of Hawai'i during the 1992-94 seasons and again from 1998-1999. Dixon also met his wife, Jacqueline, in the Rainbow State.

The Horned Frogs, who went 22-13 last season and 9-9 in the Big 12 Conference, are coming off back-to-back second-round appearances in the NCAA Tournament. TCU finished the season ranked in the AP Top 25 Poll for the fourth time in program history, coming in at No. 22. The final ranking extended a program-best 15-straight weeks ranked in the top 25.
