TCU women's basketball will hit the road for another conference matchup at No. 24 Oklahoma on Wednesday.

Oklahoma (15-6 overall, 9-1 Big 12) enters the contest on a six-game winning streak,  beating Oklahoma State 81-74 on Saturday, and currently sits tied with Kansas State for the top spot in the conference standings. The Sooners outscored the Cowgirls 48-34 in the second half to complete a comeback.

Forward Skylar Vann led Oklahoma with 22 points, seven rebounds, and two blocks. Teammates Sahara Williams, Lexy Keys, and Payton Verhulst also broke double-digit scoring. Verhulst added ten assists and seven rebounds.

Vann ranks top 10 in scoring (15.8 points per game) and rebounding (7.2) in the Big 12. Verhulst and guard Nevaeh Tot have helped the Sooners post a conference-best 20.1 assists per game. That number ranks fourth nationally. Tot boasts a top-25 assist-to-turnover ratio at 2.61 while Verhulst is at 1.5.

During ten conference games, Oklahoma is averaging a conference-leading 41.5 boards, including 12.7 on the offensive glass. TCU is pulling down 31.6 rebounds in conference games.

TCU's bench reacts to a play during a recent game against Kansas.

The Horned Frogs remain the conference leader in three pointers made per game (9.9) and three-point shooting percentage (38.4%). Guard Sydney Harris has become a go-to three-point shooter over the past four games. Harris has made 14-of-28 threes during that stretch, including 5-of-11 against Kansas.

TCU fell to Kansas 81-74 in its most recent outing. Harris scored a team-high 22 points, Agnes Emma-Nnopu had 18 points while Una Jovanovic and Aaliyah Roberson each tacked on 10 points.

Sharing the ball has continued to be a strength for the Horned Frogs as they dished out 23 on 25 made shots versus the Jayhawks. Jovanovic had seven of those assists. She is averaging three assists per game and has protected the ball well, posting a 2.65 assist-to-turnover ratio.

TCU has posted a 1-2 record since forfeiting two games in mid-January due to a rash of injuries. As the team adjusts to a new offense and rotation, a couple of things have remained constant – battling until the final buzzer and a drive to win every game.

Oklahoma will provide another tough test for a TCU team that is growing up quickly while fighting through adversity.
