TCU women's basketball will put a three-game winning streak on the line against Texas Tech on Wednesday.

The game marks the final home game of the season and the second matchup against the Red Raiders (16-13 overall, 5-11 Big 12), which the Horned Frogs (18-9, 5-11) lost 71-65 in Lubbock.

TCU and Texas Tech are part of a four-way tie with BYU and Cincinnati for ninth place in the conference standings. Finishing as the 10 seed or higher would ensure a first-round bye in the Big 12 Conference Tournament. The tournament starts March 7.

Texas Tech has lost seven consecutive games with the last win being the victory against TCU. The Red Raiders fell to Cincinnati 68-56 on Saturday.

Guard Bailey Maupin paced Texas Tech with 15 points while guard Jasmine Shavers had 10 points and five rebounds. Maupin and Shavers have broken double-digit scoring 23 and 22 times, respectively, this season. Forwards Kilah Freeon and Jordyn Merritt pull down more than 5.5 rebounds per game.

The Red Raiders average a conference-worst 59.7 points per game on 38.9% shooting. Defense is slightly better, ranking eighth in points allowed (67.5) and 12th in field goal percentage (44.5%).

TCU is coming off a 59-49 win over Houston. Center Sedona Prince scored 15 points, snagged five rebounds, and blocked two shots in her return from a finger injury suffered in early January.

Guard Agnes Emma-Nnopu posted a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds. Guard Sydney Harris chipped in 13 points and snagged seven rebounds while guard Madison Conner had 11 points.

The Horned Frogs struggled with ball security against the Cougars, coughing up the ball 21 times. A stellar defensive effort kept Houston at bay. Houston shot 26.7% from the field, including 22% from three-point range. The Horned Frogs also outrebounded the Cougars, 49-26.

The Horned Frogs have now won three consecutive conference games for the first time since the 2019-20 season. Mark Campbell is also one win away from becoming the winningest first year coach in program history. The previous mark of 18 was set by Reagan Pebley's 2014-15 squad.
