TCU Women's Basketball Starts 2-0 For The First Time Since 2020

The Horned Frogs women's basketball team got their second win of the season after an 86-48 victory over Texas A&M-Kingsville.

TCU continued to look stellar on offense with an 86-point performance Wednesday night. The Horned Frogs shot 14 three-pointers and finished the game shooting 51% from the field. Madison Conner led the team with 22 points, finishing 5-12 from behind the line. The Frogs defeated Texas A&M-Kingsville 86-48.

Two Horned Frogs finished with double-doubles. Agnes Emma-Nnopu had her first career double-double and ended the game with 14 points, ten rebounds, four steals, and three assists. Sedona Prince was the other Horned Frog, with 10 points and 16 rebounds in only 22 minutes. 

TCU out-rebounded TAMU-Kingsville 42-25, with a third of them coming on the offensive side of the ball. The Horned Frogs also forced 15 turnovers, with 11 in the first half alone. 

Other standout players for the team were Aaliyah Roberson, with a career-high of 11 points off the bench, Jaden Owens, who led all players in assists with six, and Tara Manumaleuga, who had a season-high of seven points. 

TCU will remain home on Sunday with a game against Rice at 1:00 p.m. The Horned Frogs will seek revenge after losing to Rice last December 68-58.
