College football season is less than three weeks away. Buckle up, folks! The chaos is nearly here.

In preparation for the coming season, the AFCA Coaches Poll released their preseason poll on Monday. The AP Preseason Top 25 will be announced next week.

The Georgia Bulldogs, winners of the last two national championships, come in at the top spot. They are followed by other familiar names -  Michigan, Alabama, Ohio State, and LSU. The decision to put the Dawgs as number one was, however, not unanimous. Georgia received 61 first-place votes, while Bama received four votes and Ohio State one vote.

Texas is the highest-ranked team from the Big 12 at No. 12. The TCU Horned Frogs are the second-highest and are ranked at No. 16. It's the first time since 2018 that the Frogs are ranked in the Coaches Preseason Poll since 2018 when they were also No. 16.

Other Big 12 schools in the poll include Kansas State (No. 17), Oklahoma (No. 19), and Texas Tech (No. 24). Additionally, teams receiving votes include Baylor (No. 33), Oklahoma State (No. 43), Houston (No. 53), BYU (No. 54), and Kansas (No. 56).
