Football: Ken Wilson Joins TCU Staff as Linebackers Coach

Wilson has spent the last two seasons as the head coach at Nevada.

Ken Wilson is joining TCU's defensive staff as a linebackers coach following two years as a head coach at Nevada. Wilson led the Wolf Pack to a disappointing 4-20 record during his time there and was fired by the university on Dec. 1.

Before Nevada, Wilson was Oregon's co-defensive coordinator and linebackers coach and worked under then-Oregon DC/current TCU DC Andy Avalos. Oregon won back-to-back conference championships in Wilson's first two seasons in Eugene.

Before Oregon, Wilson was the linebackers coach at Washington State from 2013-2019, and from 1989-1998 and 2004-2012, he was a defensive assistant back at Nevada. From 1998-2004, he served as an associate athletic director for the Wolf Pack.

Wilson is among the most experienced coaches in college football and is also regarded as one of the best recruiters in the country according to 247Sports' 2020 recruiter rankings.

Wilson has coached 35 all-conference selections, three conference players of the year, one All-American, and one freshman All-American. Eight of his position players were drafted, and ten more signed NFL contracts.
