It's pretty remarkable how an outlook on a team can change in a week. Things were looking really bleak for TCU coming off a tough loss against Iowa State and losing your starting quarterback in the same game. After the 44-11 win over BYU, some optimism could be on the horizon for these Horned Frogs as they enter a critical part of their schedule.

It was all TCU from the start after a pick-six by Millard Bradford put the Frogs up 7-0. They extended their lead after Josh Hoover found J.P. Richardson over the middle for a 42-yard strike. Richardson had six catches for 104 yards and a score. After the game, Richardson said, "We have a lot of confidence in Hoover, and he came out and executed the game plan at a really high level..."

Hoover had four touchdowns, the most by a Horned Frog in his first career start since 2011. The second came on third and goal to Jared Wiley from seven yards out. After BYU scored to make it 24-8, Hoover drove the offense 81 yards capped off by a touchdown pass to Savion Williams. His fourth and final touchdown came on the first drive of the second half to Warren Thompson

The defense was also terrific holding the Cougars to one touchdown. They pressured Kedon Slovis all game. Jamoi Hodge had a fumble recovery and a sack. Shad Banks Jr. led the team in tackles with seven.

LJ Martin: 14 carries, 56 yards

It was a must-win for TCU as they look to get the magic number of six for a bowl game. Hoover played out of his mind and had this offense rolling. However, bigger challenges await as the second half of the season gets tough. They will travel to Manhattan to take on the Kansas State Wildcats next Saturday at 6 p.m. on ESPN2.
