Chargers Pick Max Duggan In Seventh Round Of NFL Draft

TCU star Max Duggan gets the call and will play for the Los Angeles Chargers after being drafted in the Seventh round of the NFL Draft.

Max Duggan will head to Los Angeles to start his NFL career with the Chargers. He was drafted with the 239th overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. Duggan's late draft call shocked many, as he was one of the last quarterbacks selected. However, hearing your name called anywhere in the draft is a tremendous honor. Duggan will be reunited with his teammates Quentin Johnston and Derius Davis, who also listened to their name called in this year's draft by the Chargers.

Max Duggan won't be a starter, at least right off the bat, due to the Chargers already having a star quarterback named Justin Herbert. However, he will have an excellent chance to earn the backup 2nd string quarterback position if he can beat out Easton Stick, the current Chargers' backup.

Last season Max Duggan threw for 3,698 yards with only eight interceptions. Duggan has earned every minute of this and deserves it! I wish him the best in whatever his journey leads him. He has the hard work and grit to succeed and make it very far. Once a Horned Frog, always a Horned Frog! Go do great things, Max; you have officially made me a Chargers fan!
