Beach Volleyball: TCU Cannot Lose Right Now

The beach volleyball team in Fort Worth is by far and away the best college team in the nation.
After coming off a weekend that included three ranked wins, No. 1 TCU Beach Volleyball’s schedule did not get any easier this past weekend. They were greeted with three more ranked opponents over four games as they returned home to Fort Worth. They won all four contests including three ranked victories over top 15 teams. This included No. 9 California, No. 15 Florida International, No. 6 Grand Canyon, and Texas.
The Frogs added two more sweeps moving their season total to 14, including four over ranked opponents. These four ranked sweeps set a new program record for TCU.
Three Frogs came away with perfect weekends: Daniela Alvarez, Tania Moreno, and Maria Gonzalez.
Friday
Beat No. 9 California 4-1 - Rochelle Scott and Hailey Brockett notched their 10th win together this season while remaining undefeated as a duo. This marks the eighth ranked win for the Frogs all season while moving to a perfect 4-0 against Cal all-time.
Beat No. 15 Florida International 5-0 - Sutton MacTavish got her 15th win on the year and secured the fourth ranked sweep of the season for TCU. After victories in back to back weekends against the FIU, the Horned Frogs moved to 6-2 all time versus the Panthers.
Saturday
Beat No. 6 Grand Canyon 3-2 - The Frogs marked their ninth ranked win of the season in their second ever victory against the Lopes.
Beat Texas 5-0 - The win comes in the Frogs first ever meeting with the Longhorns. This moves TCU’s all time record against teams from Texas to a perfect 30-0.
TCU moves to 20-0 on the season with 9 of those victories coming against ranked opponents.
Next up: The Horned Frogs travel to Jacksonville, Florida next weekend, March 31- April 1 for the North Florida Invitational. They are scheduled to play four opponents including two more additional ranked matches: North Florida, Florida Gulf Coast, No. 18 Pepperdine, and No. 17 Stetson.
