TCU Golf: National Letter of Intent Signing Day

The Horned Frogs golf teams landed some great recruits on the National Letter of Intent Signing Day. The men's team had four players sign, and the women's team had two players sign.

Men's Signing Class:

The TCU men's golf team had a successful day as they had four players sign their letters of intent to become Horned Frogs. This was TCU head men’s golf coach Bill Allcorn’s first signing class, and he had a good one. Blake Burt, Aidan Dortch, Hudson Wilt, and Charlie Wylie all signed national letters of intent on Wednesday. Three of the four are all from the state of Texas.

“We could not be more excited about this signing class. Each student-athlete’s game is very different from the other, but they all have one thing in common, a deep love for TCU. This class has won state championships and elite junior tournaments and will elevate our program the moment they foot on campus. Go Frogs!”

- TCU men's golf head coach Bill Allcorn

Dortch is from Dallas and currently attends Trinity Christian-Addison High School. Last summer, he finished tied for eighth at the Jack Burke Jr. Invitational, tied for 10th at the Mizuno Junior Championship, and tied for 17th at the Arnold Palmer Junior Invitational. Dortch is ranked 109th in the American Junior Golf Association. He also competed at the Western Junior Championship and finished tied for 16th at the Under Armour/Jordan Spieth Championship after finishing tied for second in 2022.

Burt is from Austin, Texas and currently attends Austin Westlake High School. Burt has been very successful in AJGA tournaments as he has nine top-10 finishes and was a three-time district all-academic. This last summer, Burt finished tied for 20th at the Mizuno Junior Championship and was tied for 10th at the Under Armour/Jordan Spieth Championship. He was the captain of the 6A State Championship team this past spring.

Wilt is the only player who signed not from Texas. He currently attends Ensworth School in Nashville, Tennessee. Wilt finished 2nd place at the 2023 Sanctuary Golf Club Junior Classic. He was also 11th at the Brunswick Junior Classic and top 15 at the Gator Invitational. In Wilt’s sophomore year, he was ranked in the top five by the junior golf scoreboard, before an injury set him back. In 2020, he won the future masters and broke the scoring record including two rounds with a score of 62. Hudson's older brother is also currently a TCU golfer, Toby Wilt.

Wylie is from Houston, Texas and attends Memorial High School. Wylie was ranked 14th in AJGA, with three top-three finishes this past summer. He finished third at the PING AJGA Invitational, third at the Jack Burke Jr. Invitational, and third at the Byron Nelson Junior Championship. Wylie finished tied for 10th at the 51st Southern Junior Championship. Wylie also won the Texas Masters – IMG World Qualifier in 2022.

They will all be freshman on the roster next fall.

Women's Signing Class:

Coach Angie Ravaioli-Larkin killed it on signing day. She had two players sign on Wednesday. They added Gracie McGovern and Camille Min-Gaultier to the 2024-25 roster.

McGovern is originally from Scottsdale, Arizona. She is ranked ninth overall out of all the U.S. amateurs in the class of 2024 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings. McGovern has enjoyed having a decorated career at her current school, Scottsdale Christian Academy. She competed in Arizona’s co-ed division, where she became the first female to win the D3 Arizona State Championship in 16 years in 2023. She played in an LPGA tournament at Liberty National Golf Club this year and is also the reining NB3 National Champion.

Min-Gaultier comes to Fort Worth from  La Londe-les-Maures, France. Min-Gaultier holds the number 30 slot in the European Golf Rankings. She is no stranger to the international stage as one of France’s top junior golfers. She has been on a roll lately as she recently earned a first-place finish at the 2023 U18 French Championship, as well as a third-place finish at the 2023 Grand Prix de Valescure. Min-Gaultier is the fifth European player who has signed with TCU. She is the first French player TCU has signed since current star Lois Lau in 2020.

"I chose TCU because this was always my dream university," said Min-Gaultier. "It seems to have a good atmosphere and a great university."

It was a great signing class for both teams. They have a great future ahead of them. The programs will be in great hands, as these are some of the top players in the world. We can't wait to see what they will accomplish at TCU!
