TCU Rifle Continues Rolling With One Of Their Best Performances Of The Season

The number two-ranked Horned Frogs are in top form currently, finishing their final home match of the season with another victory and one of their most robust performance as an overall team.

After finishing the match with a team score of 4742, the team's second-highest aggregate score, Stephanie Grundsoee, was still the match's star. Grundsoee would finish the day with a new career-high 1193 aggregate mark. Not only was it a new high for her overall, but she would then finish with a career-high in smallbore with a mark of 597. 

With Grundsoee leading the charge, TCU turned in nine of the top ten aggregate scores in the match, with Katie Zaun finishing close behind and earning the top marks in air rifle with a score of 598. 

Other top ten finishers in the match were: Stephanie Allan in third (1182), Jeanne Haverhill in fourth (1174), Anne White fifth (1174), Mikole Hogan at sixth (1173), Nina Schuett eighth (1172), Annie Downum in ninth (1155) and Kaylynn Slaughter rounding out the top ten (1152). 

The Horned Frogs will head to Air Force this weekend and compete in the NCAA qualifiers where the top eight scores will determine who advances to the NCAA Championships. TCU currently sits second in the nation with an average score of 4741.67.
