TCU Soccer: Lauren Kellett Awarded Big 12 Goalkeeper of the Week

TCU's star goalie Lauren Kellett was named Big 12 Goalkeeper of the Week after great performances against UAB and Texas A&M.

Lauren Kellett is the Big 12 Goalkeeper of the Week for the third time in her career and first time this season. Helping the Frogs go 1-0-1, she didn't allow a goal the whole week.

Kellett achieved this after becoming TCU's all-time leader in shutouts with a clean sheet against UAB. She showcased her skills further against Texas A&M, making a season-high seven saves, including a critical stop on a penalty kick in the 78th minute.

Notably, Kellett holds TCU's all-time best goals-against average (GAA) at 0.68 and has allowed only one goal in the last three matches. This year, She ranks third in the Big 12 for save percentage (.850) and is tied for second in GAA (0.60).

Next up, the 25th-ranked TCU team (2-2-1) will journey to West Lafayette, Ind., for a Thursday match against Purdue, scheduled to kick off at 7 p.m. and broadcast on B1G+.

Look for Kellett to continue her great play.
