TCU played in the Big 12 Match play tournament at Kierland Golf Club in Scottsdale, Arizona last week and played pretty well. The Frogs ended up finishing in third place after defeating Baylor 3-2-0.
Caitlyn Macnab won big, defeating Baylor's Britta Snyder. Macnab had a solid weekend, only dropping one match the entire weekend and finishing with a record of 7-1. She has been on a roll lately, playing some of the best golf we have seen!
Louis Lau played solid and defeated Baylor's Hannah King to give the Frogs another match point. Sabrina Nguyen also had a solid weekend as she helped the Horned Frogs win, as she defeated Baylor's BaiMaai Seema to give the Frogs another point.
The Frogs didn't come out with the win, but they played really well, and are ready to get ready for the Big 12 Championship on April 21-23 at The Dallas Athletic Club in Dallas. The Dallas Athletic Club is one of the most prestigious golf courses in North Texas.

Sophomore Caitlyn Macnab has been on a roll lately as she finished tied for ninth at the Augusta National Women's Amateur. This was two places above her performance from last year's tournament.
Macnab shot a 4-over Final Round, giving her a total score of 1-over for the tournament. She had a 72-hole score of 1-over on a tough Augusta course. Macnab played really good golf which helped her advance to the final round after finishing tied for fourth with a 36-hole score of 3-under. She recorded a 71 in round one and a 70 in round two to advance her to the next few days.
Macnab's 71.59 stroke average is second to her own TCU record of 71.53 set last season. She has had a really good season shooting par or better in 16 of 22 rounds this season. She has even set records of her own, shooting a personal best 14 under tournament score to finish third at the MountainView Collegiate.
It was one of her four top-five results this season. Macnab won first place outright at the Schooner Fall Classic, third at the Jim West Challenge, and fourth at the Battle at the Beach. She has eight sub-70 rounds on the year; look for her to shine at The Big 12 Championship, and you can expect her to be up near the top.
Keep up with the Horned Frogs as they prepare and work hard to try and win the Big 12.
