TCU Women’s Soccer: Three Frogs make the 2023 All-Big 12 Preseason Team

Three Horned Frogs were selected to the 2023 All-Big 12 Preseason Team announced last week. Voted upon by the league’s head coaches, who were prohibited from voting for their players, Oliva Hasler, Gracie Brian, and Camryn Lancaster all received honors and represent TCU in the preseason team.
For Hasler, who is entering her senior year, it is her first preseason honor. In 2022, she started in 23 matches and recorded one assist. In that span, she logged over 1,900 minutes and contributed to 11 shutouts on the season.
Heading into the 2023 campaign, Hasler will have a crucial role as a veteran defender. She was integral to the Frogs’ success and making it to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament, but head coach Eric Bell and his team are expected to raise their game with the new season on the horizon. This preseason honor comes fully deserved after Hasler’s efforts and contributions last season saw her named to the 2nd-Team All-Big 12 and the CSC Academic-All District.
While this is Hasler’s first preseason honor, it is Brian’s second instance of being included in the preseason team.
Brian is entering her graduate season with the Horned Frogs and is looking to build on an already-accomplished career. Named to the preseason team for the second time, Brian is coming off a historic season where she set the new school record for all-time assist leader with 24. Brian contributed seven goals and four assists in 20 games and was a vital piece in the TCU attack. Furthermore, Brian was named to the 1st-Team All-Big 12 and the United Soccer Coaches 1st Team All-Midwest Region in 2022.
For Lancaster, it is also her second time being selected to the preseason team.
The forward from Mansfield was one of four Horned Frogs to start all 24 games. Playing in an attacking role on the flank, Lancaster was crucial in providing and creating outlets to attack. In 2022, she posted six goals and one assist, finishing fourth on the team with 13 points.
Her achievements did not stop there as Lancaster was named to the 1st-Team All-Big 12 and the United Coached 3rd-Team All-Midwest.
