Joe Milton III Attending Manning Passing Academy

Tennessee Volunteers quarterback Joe Milton III will attend the Manning Passing Academy, hosted by NFL legends Peyton and Eli Manning.

The Mannings are synonymous with football. Anyone who's ever stepped between the hash marks knows the legendary story of the sons of Archie Manning. Archie was a long-time NFL quarterback who achieved unique heights professionally, but his two sons quickly eclipsed him. Peyton and Eli Manning dominated football over the past 30 years. They have decided to give back to the game that gave them so much and continue to host their annual "Manning Passing Academy" camp.

The Manning Passing Academy hosts dozens of college quarterbacks every summer in a showcase and workshop for their upcoming seasons. Peyton is a Tennessee alum with a passion for the Vols, and multiple Tennessee quarterbacks have attended the past few years. Hendon Hooker. Jarrett Guarantano, and Harrison Bailey were recent invites, and Joe Milton III added his name to that group this summer. Milton has accepted an invitation to the event alongside several other important names at the quarterback position.

  • Arch Manning, Texas
  • Devin Leary, Kentucky
  • Drake Maye, UNC
  • Garrett Nussmeier, LSU
  • Jayden Daniels, LSU
  • Joe Milton III, Tennessee
  • Jordan Travis, Florida State
  • Michael Penix Jr., Washington
  • Quinn Ewers, Texas
  • Shedeur Sanders, Colorado

Milton is a preseason media darling. He's been touted as a dark horse pick for the Heisman Trophy, and the expectations for the program he's leading are just as high. He gets his first opportunity in 2023 to compete against America's best; the only notable omissions from the camp list are USC quarterback Caleb Williams and Oregon quarterback Bo Nix. Everyone else that he must compete with is present.
