Robert Griffin III Makes Bold Chris Brazzell II Prediction Ahead of 2026 NFL Draft

In this story:
The 2026 NFL Draft is quickly approaching, and one of the players who is likely to hear his name called is Tennessee Vols wide receiver draft prospect Chris Brazzell II. Brazzell II is by far one of the better wide receivers in the class, as he possesses one of the better frame + speed combinations entering the draft.
He has managed to impress many coaches, scouts, and even former players, including a new person to comment on the situation. That former player is Robert Griffin III. Griffin III is a former Heisman trophy winner and a former NFL quarterback. The former quarterback is one of the greatest Baylor Bears prospects of all time, who was selected by the Washington Redskins (currently: Washington Commanders).
He has an eye for talent, and recently made a bold prediction about Brazzell II, as he believes that the Tennessee wide receiver will be a problem for defenders at the next level. Here is what the former college football star had to say.
Robert Griffin III Shares Comment on Chris Brazzell II

"Chris Brazzell ll is going to make any QB he plays with very happy.
-6’5.
-Explosive athlete.
-Wide Catch Radius makes him easy to throw to.
-Every route looks like a go ball until it’s not.
-DB’s worst nightmare of speed and size," the talented quarterback stated.
Brazzell II had a very productive season at Tennessee, as he was the team leader in receiving yards. He finished the season with a total of 1,017 receiving yards on just 62 receptions. Brazzell II also finished with a total of nine touchdowns. This was much better than his 2024 season, in which he was a primary fourth option for Nico Iamaleava. In that season, he made the most of his opportunities, but in 2025, he dominated the game as a whole.
Following the 2025 season, Brazzell II and some of the other Tennessee players would compete at the NFL Combine. Brazzell II was one of the fastest-rising prospects in the combine and was labeled as a possible first-round draft pick. He finished with a 4.37 40-yard dash, which was great compared to the others around his size. NFL.com. Analyst Lance Zierlein shared an honest evaluation of the prospect.
"Long-limbed “Z” receiver with the ability to create downfield for an offense thirsty to make more explosive plays outside. Brazzell’s 2025 tape shows the game slowing down for him, allowing the production to catch up with the traits. He builds to speed with long strides and dominates above the rim. He’s adept at using length and body control to capture air space against cornerbacks. He’s a more competent route runner than most field-stretcher types, but he needs to become more physical on contested targets underneath. Brazzell didn’t see many in-your-face press challenges this past season, but he’s likely to get an early taste of it as a pro. Two-high shells and zone-heavy looks can shrink his snap-to-snap impact, but the quick-strike potential is real," Zierlein stated.
