The Tennessee Volunteers' roster is looking promising ahead of the 2026 season, as they are looking to make a playoff push after what seemed to be an underwhelming season during their 2025 outing, which resulted in an 8-5 record.

Following the 2025 season, the Vols would have an eventful offseason with their additions through the transfer portal, while also retaining some of their top players on the roster. This portion of the offseason would be labeled a success by many, as arguably the biggest player to return to the offensive line is Wendell Moe Jr.

Moe Jr. is an offensive guard who is now set for his second season with the Vols after Tennessee made a move in the transfer portal following the 2024 season and added him to the roster from the Arizona Wildcats. Moe Jr. has been a great player for the Vols, as he has been able to swing to both sides, playing both left and right.

Recently, Moe Jr. has received some major recognition, as he was named a preseason All-American by On3.

This is major news, as the offensive line will be very crucial to any success that the team looks to have. This is due to the fact that the Vols will have a new starter at quarterback no matter the direction that they are in, which means that protecting the quarterback will be key at all costs. Moe Jr. is only going to get better with more reps and will be backed by a great run game when it comes to the running back being DeSean Bishop, who is returning for another season under De'Rail Sims, Joey Halzle, and Josh Heupel.

If Moe Jr. continues this dominance, he could find himself being a future NFL Draft selection within the first two days of the event. This would go to show that Glen Elarbee and his staff have been able to develop a high-tier offensive guard, as he has improved in a major way since coming to Knoxville during the spring of 2025.
