2025 five-star quarterback George MacIntyre (Nashville, Tenn.) hopes to represent the Tennessee Volunteers at the Elite 11 this summer.

Brentwood Academy quarterback George MacIntyre has football coursing through his veins. He's got a rich family history of playing and coaching at high levels, which breeds competition. One of the top competitions for young quarterbacks early in their career is the Elite 11, an annual event in Los Angeles, California, that brings together the top 20 signal callers in the upcoming senior class.

Participants undergo the full scope of what it means to be a college quarterback, the face of a program, and yes, they even delve into what it means to be an NFL franchise quarterback. The University of Tennessee hadn't had a participant since the 2019 event when Marietta High School quarterback Harrison Bailey represented the Vols.

To earn an invitation to the prestigious event, you must attend regional showcases put on by the Elite 11, where invitations are handed out. The Elite 11 holds a litany of events throughout the spring, as they usually attempt to field the entire roster a few weeks before. Quarterback Nico Iamaleava earned an invitation for his regional showings in high school but declined the offer.

MacIntyre performed at a regional event this past weekend in Oxford, Mississippi. He bypassed a large recruiting weekend at the University of Tennessee to continue to attempt to get an invitation. MacIntyre stood out to many at the event, though he hasn't yet secured an invitation. The current Elite 11 roster for the summer is currently: Florida State commit Tramell Jones, Notre Dame commit Deuce Knight, Oklahoma commit Kevin Sperry, SMU commit Keelon Russell, Texas commit K.J. Lacey, and top-60 prospect Husan Longstreet.
