2025 four-star linebacker Nasir Wyatt (Santa Ana, Ca.) will visit the Tennessee Volunteers for the first time this weekend.

Mater Dei High School linebacker Nasir Wyatt is one of the top defenders in the 2025 cycle. Wyatt was a standout for the powerhouse west-coast program this season and will see the Tennessee Volunteers for the first time this weekend. He caught up with On3 ahead of his visit and explained his interest in the program.

"I’ve been in touch with Coach Ayers, Coach Ekeler and Coach Heupel. Coach Banks came to see me at school. They are constantly calling me. We talk on the daily. They’ve been vocal from the jump about how interested they are in me. Tennessee feels me and Jordan Ross could really make a good combination off the edge. They’ve been telling me from the jump, 'Once we get you down here for this unofficial, we are probably going to lock in an official.' They feel confident in their ability to pull me in and have me playing for them as a Vol. So, if they feel like that, I want to go check it out and see if I fit there. Wyatt has indeed locked in an official visit with Tennessee for the weekend of June 14, as the Vols battle Oregon, Miami, Texas and others. When I go on these trips, they’re business trips. They have to show me how they are going to compete with other schools that are at the top of the board. I’m not going to rule out anything because I’m still taking these trips, going on these unofficials and then setting up some officials. After the OVs, I probably will be like, 'I want to commit.'"
