Tennessee Commit David Gabriel-Georges Doesn't Hold Back in Recent Rankings Statement

In this story:
The class of 2027 is filled with plenty of talented players at the running back position, but one could argue none is as good as Baylor High School running back and Tennessee Vols commit David Gabriel-Georges. However, he has recently been ranked as the No. 2 running back in the country.
After many debates, Gabriel-Georges shared his thoughts online.

"Thanks for all the support it's crazy but l'm sick of talking about rankings. Whether I'm ranked second or not who cares? Put me last all I want to do is play football. It was a great game, but there's no need to insult the opposing team they have some of the best players l've ever played against," David Gabriel-Georges said on X following the win against the Brentwood Academy Eagles on Thursday.

This is a very professional statement to come out following such a great performance. The reason he put this statement out is due to the fact that many have shared their opinion on where he is ranked and how he has been snubbed of the No. 1 ranking when it comes to the running back position. Instead, that has been given to Kemon Spell, a Georgia commit, who is extremely talented.
It still feels reasonable that Gabriel-Georges should be ranked as the No. 1 running back. This includes being the No. 1 running back on 247Sports, which is csomething that has been teased by reporter Tom Loy, who made the commit that he believes Gabriel-Georges is the best running back in the country.
Kenneth Simon II was quick to share his thoughts on the running back following the game, even referring to him as one of the best players to play high school football.
Kenneth Simon II Shares His Thoughts on David Gabriel-Georges

"Yeah, I mean, my goal is always to compete against the best people in the country, and you see it from how he plays. He is legit. He is one of the best to probably play high school football, but he is legit, so it is fun to go against him, and just go show both of our talents on the field," Simon II said.
This is a top tier linebacker saying this, and someone who experienced front-hand how hard it is to tackle Gabriel-Georges.
It remains unknown if he will be ranked as the best running back in the country, but many fans will be looking for him to take that next step, as they believe there is nothing else he has to prove.
