Longhorns Walk Off Red Raiders 9-8 to Complete Series Sweep: Live Game Log
The Texas Longhorns (17-7, 2-0) are capping off their 14-game home stand on Sunday as they look to complete the series sweep of the Texas Tech Red Raiders (18-6, 2-3).
After reeling off 11 straight wins to start their home stand, the Longhorns came into this weekend looking to make a statement - that the win streak was legitimate and not a product of a seemingly easy schedule.
Well, through two games it is safe to say that has statement has been made in resounding fashion. After a 6-2 victory in the series opener they clinched the series on Saturday in walk off fashion as Porter Brown raced home on a wild pitch in the bottom of the ninth for a 6-5 win.
Texas' pitching staff has held a Red Raider offense that was averaging over 10 runs per game to only seven runs in two games while the offense has had multiple clutch hits in the first two wins.
Now, the Longhorns will look to sweep their series against the Red Raiders and go a perfect 14-0 on their home stand.
