FRISCO - The Dallas Cowboys love Texas Longhorns running back Bijan Robinson, who is widely considered both a "top-five talent'' and a "top-10 pick'' in this NFL Draft.

And understandably, there is a lot to love.

But what do they think about his Longhorns sidekick, the less-heralded Roschon Johnson?

It seems, as far as Dallas is concerned, there is a lot to like

Johnson was at Texas star as a freshman in 2019, when he had 123 carries and ran for 623 yards and seven touchdowns, adding another 23 catches for 158 yards.

But his numbers would never really grow from there. And why not?

Because soon after, Robinson burst onto the scene.

When Johnson did play, though? Despite having seasons where he had just 80 carries in 2020 and 96 and 93 the following two years, he averaged 5.6 yards per carry combined with those touches.

He's as big as Bijan at 6-0, 219, can pass-block, doesn't fumble ... and Dallas has made no secret of hoping for a Tony Pollard backup (or eventually replacement?) from this NFL Draft crop.

Bijan, it seems could go as high as No. 8 to Atlanta and is certainly a consideration for the Eagles at No. 10. And Johnson? Some mocks have him still on the shelf on Day 3.

And should the Cowboys elect to look in Roschon's direction, he could find a way to finally fully emerge from the shadow of Bijan.
