Why would the Texas Longhorns settle for one five-star when they can have two?

Texas hosted No. 3 cornerback Kobe Black on an official visit Friday, and, though he has one more stop to Tuscaloosa, AL. for the Crimson Tide's game against Arkansas Oct. 13, signs are pointing to him becoming a Longhorn. He and five-star edge rusher Colin Simmons, who was also on an official visit to Austin at the same time as Black, had a little fun on Twitter late Saturday night.

Simmons tweeted at Black to "just say the word." Black then quote tweeted Simmons' tweet, saying "would be nice if we teamed up."

Texas, Alabama, LSU and Texas A&M are the only four schools that can dream at the opportunity of the two dominant defenders teaming up together.

The two five-star prospects are separated by just an hour and a half on Interstate 35 as Simmons is a Duncanville, TX. native and Black is from Waco.

If the pair commits to Texas, it would be the highest-ranked Lone Star State duo of defenders since 2010 when outside linebacker Jordan Hicks and defensive end Reggie Wilson both became Longhorns.
