Five-Star WR Jaime Ffrench Has Texas Longhorns in Top 3

AUSTIN - The Texas Longhorns are beginning to heat up in a big way on the recruiting trail.
And during a star-studded visit weekend on the 40 Acres, that continued to be the case, with five-star Mandarin (Jacksonville, FL) wide receiver Jaime Ffrench revealing that the Horns had skyrocketed into his top-3 schools.

Per Ffrench, the other two programs that are in his top-3 are Ohio State and Tennessee.
Ffrench was originally an Alabama Crimson Tide commit, de-committing from the Tide on Jan. 14. After that, the race was on for the five-star, with USC and Texas both offering him in the ensuing Days.
Last season with Mandarin, Ffrench was a dominant force, catching 62 passes for 1,247 yards (20.1 ypc) and 14 touchdowns as a junior. In his sophomore campaign, he hauled in 44 catches for 671 yards and five touchdowns.
As it stands, Ffrench currently ranks as a four-star recruit and the No. 22 player nationally, the No. 4 wide receiver and No. 3 player in Florida, per the On3 Industry Ranking. On3 also has a Ffrench as a 62 percent lean to Ohio State per their Recruiting Prediction Machine.
Per the 247Sports Composite Ranking, Ffrench ranks as a five-star, the No. 17 player nationally and No. 3 wide receiver.
Ffrench currently has an official visit scheduled to Austin for June 21-23, alongside other top recruits, including the Longhorns' centerpiece of the 2025 class, quarterback KJ Lacey.
He will also visit Tennessee June 14-16 and Miami May 31-2 for officials.
