DALLAS - The Texas Longhorns were 6.5-point favorites against the Oklahoma Sooners in the Red River Showdown on Saturday in Dallas.

But after the first few plays of the game, the Horns found themselves in a major hole - in more ways than one.

Just after a Quinn Ewers interception to open the game, and a quick Oklahoma touchdown, the Longhorns took the field for their second drive, and on the second play of that drive, starting center Jake Majors went down with what appeared to be a lower-body injury.

Majors was able to get off of the field under his own power but also was walking with a noticeable limp.

In replacement of Majors, red-shirt freshman Connor Robertson has entered the game.

Majors is currently questionable to return.

Even before the injury to Majors, the Longhorns were struggling to protect Ewers, who has now thrown two interceptions early on the game.

Entering the matchup, Ewers had thrown just one interception for the season, which came at the end of the first half against Kansas last week.

Ewers had only one multi-interception game in his career before Saturday, which came last season in a three-interception outing in a loss to Oklahoma State.

The Longhorns were already facing a significant injury problem entering the matchup, with starting corner Ryan Watts missing the game with a lower-body injury of his own.

In replacement of Watts, freshman Malik Muhammad and transfer Gavin Holmes will be rotating throughout the game.

This is a developing story and will be updated.
