UCLA Football: Bruins QB Enters Transfer Portal

As the UCLA Bruins go through their offseason, they are looking for different ways to improve the team. Gone is former head coach Chip Kelly as the team brought in DeShaun Foster to lead the way.

The team also brought in new offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy to run the offense and they are expected to have quarterback Ethan Garbers remain as the starter. With this, the Bruins opened themselves up to potentially losing some talent.

Quarterback Collin Schlee has decided to enter into the transfer portal with Garbers starting. Justyn Martin will likely serve as the backup to Garbers now.

Schlee appeared in seven games last season for the Bruins, throwing for 217 yards and two touchdowns. He mainly appeared when injury struck to either Garbers or former UCLA quarterback Dante Moore.

The senior quarterback came to UCLA following the 2022 season but was beaten out for the starting role. He will now look to potentially battle it out for a starting role elsewhere, even this late into the offseason.
