UCLA Football: Bruins Offer 2024 Kicker Prospect

Will UCLA land the specialist?

UCLA Bruins head coach DeShaun Foster is aiming to turn the program around, something that his predecessor Chip Kelly was never able to accomplish. With the program heading into the Big Ten this coming season, his job gets even tougher, but Foster seems ready for the challenge ahead.

He understands that building a well-rounded team is the way to jumpstart everything, so he has started to look at scholarship specialists already. Foster wants to change the culture at UCLA, and the Bruins have already offered a kicking specialist a spot for next season.

David Dellenbach of Park City (Utah) announced that he has been given an offer from the Bruins. He is one of the top kicking specialists in the country, and a Polynesian Bowl selection in 2024.

Dellenbach has a few offers as well, one from Alabama A&M and one from Weber State. He also has been given preferred walk-ons at Montana State and Utah State.

UCLA would give him the chance to play for a major program, but his priorities remain unclear at this time. He could help the Bruins in a big way, while also furthering his career.

Getting the chance to potentially play on a more national stage could impact how things shake out for him, and the Bruins could use a solid kicker. Of course, he would need to win the job, but he is the 10th-ranked kicker in the country.

It remains to be seen if Dellenbach will choose UCLA, but this is a great start to building out a better roster. The Bruins have the means to make it happen, and we'll see if they can seal the deal.
