In this story:

Your UCLA Bruins football team dropped its second straight game this weekend, this time at the hands of the Arizona State University Sun Devils. It was another reminder of the wasted opportunities that the Bruins have let slip through their fingertips this season.

The entire game against Arizona State, UCLA couldn't muster up any offense, and it cost them. But head coach Chip Kelly believes that one element of the Bruins attack was figured out by the Sun Devils, and it was their fourth-down play calling, as Ben Bolch of The Los Angeles Times reports:

The Bruins struggled to put anything together, and the Arizona State defense deserves much credit for it. They came into this game struggling, but they seemed prepared and ready to go against UCLA.

UCLA's offense became predictable throughout, and they never recovered. This goes back to the coaching staff, and how they prepared the guys throughout the week.

Entering the game, many expected the Blue and Gold to be the aggressor Saturday, given that the club had just been embarrassed in their previous contest. But numerous injuries seemed to take their toll on this Bruins team, and they were no match for the physicality of the Sun Devils.

It was a disappointing effort throughout for UCLA, and their chance to salvage their season seems over. After a very promising start for this team, they now find themselves with another poor year.

This performance throughout the year could see the Bruins making some major moves after the season ends, including the possibility of moving on from Kelly. Since he has taken over the Bruins, they have underperformed, and have gotten nowhere near even winning the Pac-12.

With the program heading for the Big 10 next year, they likely don't want a coach who is on the hot seat. This could see them firing Kelly, and starting fresh going forward.
