UCLA Football: Chip Kelly Praises Deion Sanders Ahead of Bruins Week 9 Game Against Colorado

In this story:
Colorado Buffalos head coach Deion Sanders has become one of the biggest names in all of sports — again.
Of course, he already was during his playing career, but Sanders has taken the coaching world by storm,
He is unlike many other coaches, and it seems that people flock toward him. Some love him, some hate him and some just respect him. But he has taken over a Buffalos team that hasn’t yielded much success on the field lately and turned it into a respectable program.
Now with the Buffalos heading to the Rose Bowl to take on your UCLA Bruins this weekend, Colorado has a chance to pull off a big upset road win. And it seems that ahead of the matchup between UCLA and Colorado, Bruins head coach Chip Kelly is a fan of what Sanders has done in his first season.
"They were 1-11 last year, and they've won four games this year," Kelly said Monday. "It's working. Deion has done a great job there. He's great. He's done an unbelievable job. He's great for college football. The attention and the buzz that he's brought to this game is great. I also admire him. He's a little bit old school in terms of his approach and in terms of how he does things. It's really impressive what he's doing."

Kelly knows that Sanders has brought a new sense of attention to college football, and that is always a good thing. Sometimes bringing about change can be a great part of something as popular as college football, and Sanders has surely done that.
Kelly probably is also happy that he won’t have to face Sanders after this season, especially if the Buffalos do ever transform themselves into a powerhouse. The Bruins’ impending move to the Big Ten means UCLA won’t see Colorado much at all going forward.
What Sanders has done has been incredible for the sport, and the hope is that he can keep it up. It should be a fun weekend between these teams, and it will be interesting to see how it plays out.
