2023 will be the final season for the UCLA Bruins in the Pac-12 conference as they get ready to head to the Big-10. Once they make the move, the team will start to face much tougher competition than in previous years. The Pac-12 isn’t a bad conference by any means, but the Big-10 is on a different level. With teams such as Ohio State and Michigan, they are consistently sending teams to represent them in the College Football Playoff.

So this season could be a big year for the Bruins in terms of building towards more relevancy. If they can show potential this year, it could help bring some momentum with them to the new conference. But the Bruins will be relying on five-star freshman Dante Moore this season to head up the team.

The young quarterback will have his hands full leading this UCLA team, but he is extremely talented. He has the lead to be the starter this season, and it’s probably a good idea to see what he has against teams in the Pac-12 before throwing him into the fire within the Big-10.

J.D. PicKell of The Hard Count believes that the Bruins quarterback room could be great this season.

“What if Dante Moore is just him right from the jump?” PicKell said. “What if that five-star status is seen in his first year on campus in Westwood? If UCLA is able to be explosive and dynamic offensively and Dante Moore hits the ground running in Chip Kelly’s offense, there’s no telling what UCLA could be. Because we all know this: in the Pac 12, you got to have elite quarterback play to win."

Per The Hard Count

Moore should have some help with offensive genius Chip Kelly being his coach, and his potential could be sky-high if things shake out for him.

In his last season in high school, Moore was special. He threw for 2,392 yards and 32 touchdowns with just three interceptions. If he can bring this level of playmaking to Pasadena, this Bruins team could shock some people.

This is a really important season for the Bruins as they look to build on their nine-win season from last year. Moore will be a big piece to that, and it'll be exciting to see his growth as the year goes on.
