Set to be a return home for Ford, a Los Angeles native who worked at Washington State the last two years, which came after a run as a high school coach in LA.… pic.twitter.com/dVYMDzAfRE
Ford is set to be UCLA's director of player personnel. He spent two seasons as the director of recruiting at Washington State. Before his time in Pullman, he was the assistant head coach and defensive coordinator at Warren High School in Los Angeles, California.
The L.A. native also has experience in the NFL. He was a player personal scout intern with the then-Oakland Raiders in the summer of 2016.
Ford will assist the head football coach, Deshaun Foster, in anything he requires. He will also be involved in player recruitment and ongoing player support.
Ford will replace UCLA's former director of player personnel, Ethan Young. Young served in that role for the last five seasons.
There is a ton of new energy around the Bruins program, and Ford will be responsible for building this program on the recruiting side.
