USC Football: Trojans Courting 2025 Offensive Lineman Ryan Fodje

Trojans join the mix in a recruitment of Ryan Fodje, a 6-foot-5 offensive lineman out of Texas

Yesterday, Brigeland (Cypress, TX) 2025 offensive lineman Ryan Fodje took to X/Twitter to announce he had received a scholarship offer from USC, fielding the call from Trojan offensive line coach Josh Henson.

According to On3's industry composite rankings, Fodje is a top 400 recruit in the 2025 class, the 28th best offensive tackle in the country, and the 64th best player coming out of Texas in the 2025 cycle.

Here is a couple minutes of highlights from Fodje's junior season:

The 6'5" Fodje spent most of his time during his junior season out at right tackle. He can hold his own in pass pro but also is an exceptional run blocker, and effective puller. Fodje is also being recruited by a plethora of in-state schools like Baylor, Houston, Texas A&M, and Texas Tech, but also has offers from Tennessee, Oklahoma, Nebraska, and Maryland.

USC, as of today, has no commits in their 2025 recruiting class. As the 2024 cycle winds down to a close here in February, the commitment number for the Trojan's 2025 class should begin to grow. According to Dave Campbell's Texas Football, Fodje is being pursued heavily by Texas A&M.

Fodje strikes me as a true tackle prospect at this stage in his development. Based off his junior season highlight tape, he appears to have the quickness and the footwork to be able to hold his own against speedy edge rushers, but he's also shown a knack for drive blocking defensive tackles off the line of scrimmage.
