USC Football: Trojans Offer Elite 2026 Defensive End Prospect

USC joins a long list of programs courting the Georgia product

Thomas County Central (Thomasville, GA) 2026 edge defender Camron Brooks took to X/Twitter today to announce he's received an offer from USC. Brooks measures up at a self-reported 6-foot-4, 225 pounds and is fresh off a spectacular sophomore season.

He now has 16 tackles for a loss and 12.5 sacks through two years at Thomas County Central, playing as a traditional hand-in-the-dirt defensive end. He's got great length and is effortlessly explosive off the ball. In his sophomore highlight tape (embedded in the bottom of this article) he lined up in a wide-9 technique, as well as inside of the tight end in a 5-technique and excelled in both alignments.

Brooks has shown that he's able to anchor down and stop the run, but he can also get after the quarterback on third-and-long. He's very deserving of his 'four-star' rating by several major recruiting networks. 247Sports thinks he's the second best 'EDGE" prospect in his class, and the ninth best sophomore in Georgia, a hotbed for defensive line talent.

USC is joining Brooks' offer list that already includes about 20 schools, including Auburn, Colorado, Florida State, Ole Miss, Tennessee and in-state Georgia to name a few. Brooks has yet to take any official visits, but has already be on campus at least Auburn and Florida State according to 247Sports.

Brooks is a well-developed player at this stage in his development, and he moves in his film like he'll be able to handle an additional 20-30 pounds of good weight in college. He checks the 'we want to get bigger up front' box that Lincoln Riley has outspoken about amidst a defensive coaching staff rebuild.
