USC football: Which 12 prospects are expected to take official visits to campus this weekend?

Four top 100 prospects will be visiting

Official visit season is here and the USC Trojans are expected to host 12 class of 2024 prospects this weekend, according to a source. We break down the group below.

Taylor Tatum

Position: Running back

School: Longview (Texas)

247Sports.com composite ranking: Four-star prospect, No. 31 nationally. No. 1 ranked running back

Measurables: 5-foot-10, 205 pounds

The skinny: Tatum plans to take six official visits, but right now the three leaders in his recruitment are USC, Oklahoma and Michigan. It's unlikely Tatum commits to USC this weekend, but the Trojans are definitely in the race.

Zabien Brown

Position: Cornerback

School: Mater Dei (Santa Ana, Calif.)

247Sports.com composite ranking: Four-star prospect, No. 57 nationally. No. 7 ranked cornerback

Measurables: 6-foot-1, 180 pounds

The skinny: Brown's top four schools are USC, Ohio State, Alabama and Oregon. He'll officially visit them in that order. Brown has been compared to USC cornerback Domani Jackson, who also attended Mater Dei, by his former head coach at the school, Bruce Rollinson.

Dakoda Fields

Position: Cornerback

School: Serra (Gardena, Calif.)

247Sports.com composite ranking: Four-star prospect, No. 78 nationally. No. 10 ranked cornerback

Measurables: 6-foot-2, 175 pounds

The skinny: Fields has long been an Oregon lean. USC will need to make up some major ground in order to land him. Fields released a top 7 earlier this month that included Cal, Miami, Ohio State, Oregon, Texas, USC and Washington.

Kameryn Fountain

Position: Edge

School: Booker T. Washington (Atlanta)

247Sports.com composite ranking: Four-star prospect, No. 81 nationally. No. 7 ranked edge rusher

Measurables: 6-foot-5, 237 pounds

The skinny: Tennessee, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida State are also recruiting Fountain. As a top 100 defensive recruit, landing Fountain would be a major win for USC.

Walter Matthews

Position: Tight end

School: Hiram (Ga.)

247Sports.com composite ranking: Four-star prospect, No. 115 nationally. No. 7 ranked tight end

Measurables: 6-foot-7, 245 pounds

The skinny: It seems like USC has a real shot to land Matthews. Florida, Florida State, Michigan, Ohio State and Colorado are also involved.

Jaylen McClain

Position: Safety

School: Seton Hall Prep (West Orange, N.J.)

247Sports.com composite ranking: Four-star prospect, No. 243 nationally. No. 22 ranked safety

Measurables: 6-foot-0, 185 pounds

The skinny: McClain has included USC in his top ten along with Notre Dame, Penn State, Oregon, Michigan, Michigan State, Rutgers, Stanford, Tennessee and Georgia.

Isaiah Garcia

Position: Offensive tackle

School: Corner Canyon (Draper, Utah)

247Sports.com composite ranking: Four-star prospect, No. 212 nationally. No. 20 ranked tackle

Measurables: 6-foot-5, 280 pounds

The skinny: USC will likely take three offensive linemen this cycle and Garcia could be one of the headliners of the group. Garcia's top ten includes Nebraska, UCLA, Alabama, Miami, USC, Oklahoma, Oregon, Washington, Stanford and Utah.

Manasse Itete

Position: Offensive tackle

School: Central Catholic (Modesto, Calif.)

247Sports.com composite ranking: Four-star prospect, No. 314 nationally. No. 28 ranked tackle

Measurables: 6-foot-5, 290 pounds

The skinny: Itete wasn't expected to be visiting this weekend, but he now plans to be on campus, according to 247Sports. USC is in Itete's top five along with Florida State, Utah and Oregon State. FSU looks like the favorite right now.

Jarvis Boatwright

Position: Safety

School: Clearwater (Fla.)

247Sports.com composite ranking: Four-star prospect, No. 425 nationally. No. 39 ranked safety.

Measurables: 6-foot-1, 170 pounds

The skinny: USC plans on taking two safeties this cycle. Judson (Converse, Texas) safety Myles Davis and Johnson-Rubell seem to be higher on the USC staff's list than Boatwright at the moment. Boatwright will also officially visit Tennessee, South Carolina and Florida State.

Elijah Newby

Position: Linebacker

School: Cheshire Academy (Cheshire, Ct.)

247Sports.com composite ranking: Three-star prospect, No. 530 nationally. No. 50 ranked linebacker

Measurables: 6-foot-4, 185 pounds

The skinny: Outside of USC, Penn State, South Carolina and Stanford are the schools pushing the hardest to land Newby.

Fox Crader

Position: Offensive tackle

School: Evergreen (Vancouver, Wash.)

247Sports.com composite ranking: Four-star prospect, No. 239 nationally. No. 22 ranked tackle

Measurables: 6-foot-6, 285 pounds

The skinny: Crader is committed to Oregon, but is still taking visits.

Hayden Treter

Position: Offensive tackle

School: Cherry Creek (Englewood, Colo.)

247Sports.com composite ranking: Three-star prospect, No. 98 ranked tackle

Measurables: 6-foot-6, 300 pounds

The skinny: Treter is a candidate to rise in the recruiting rankings following the spring and summer evaluation periods. Oregon, Tennessee and a few other schools are recruiting him.
