In a must win game for the Vanderbilt Commodores, the first half was more of an early Halloween nightmare than an easy win over a bad UNLV team. 

Vanderbilt score first, just 2:50 into the game as Ke'Shawn Vaugh put the Commodores on top 7-0 following the Ryley Guay point after.

From there the Rebels reeled off 17 unanswered points, including a 63 yard Kenyon Oblad pass to Randal Grimes to push the lead to 17-7 for the visitors. 

The Commodores responded with a 41 yard drive, ending in a 48 yard GUay field goal to trim the Rebels advantage to 17-10 withn 9:28 left in the first half. 

The Rebels weren't done however, taking their next possession 79 yards in 11 plays and taking 5:42 second off the clock as Oblad found Noah Bean in the endzone for a 5 yard touchdown.  Gutierrez point after pushed the Rebels lead to 24-10 late in the second quarter. 

Social media was not kind to the Commodores in the first half as they struggled once again defensively. 

UNLV managed 244 yards in total offense in the first half,with 108 yards passing and 141 yards rushing as the Rebels head to halftime leading Vanderbilt 24-10.
