The Vanderbilt Commodores turned in their best half of football this season as they battled the #22 ranked Missouri Tigers to a    score at intermission. 

Walk-on, transfer quarterback Mo Hasan got his first career start for coach Derek Mason and while his passing stats were pedestrian, he was efficient and added another weapon with his legs, rushing for  

Defensively the Commodores held the high powered Tigers offense in check, allowing quarterback Kelly Bryant to complete 11 of 18 for 120 yards and one touchdown.  

Vanderbilt struck first when Ke'Shawn Vaughn fought his way into the end zone on a one yard touchdown run, following a Mo Hasan 18 yard run to the TIgers one set up the play. 

Ryley Guay's PAT gave the Commodores an first quarter lead, but Missouri would answer.

Following a 55 yards Bruant to Kam Scott completion to the Vanderbilt 4 yard line, Bryant would connect with tight end Albert Okwuegbunam for the touchdown to pull the Tigers even. 

The Commodores would come right back as Hasan connected with Vaughn on a screen pass, 61 yards later Vaughn had given Vanderbilt back the lead.  

Hasan finished the first half 4-8 for 102 yards and a touchdown along with 29 yards rushing.
